We’ve been on a roll with interviews for a couple of months now and I wanted to pause and do a little reflecting on my Halloween gig at Line Creek Brewery and share some thoughts for mobile DJs. Today I talk about how I prepared, the gear I took, and what went right and wrong. I also talk about why I recently swapped record pools from Promo Only to BPM Supreme and how that helped with music selection for the event.

Resources
- Tools I used:
- Asana – I forgot to mention during the episode, but I used a free Asana account to keep track of all the things that needed to be done prior to the gig from gear to advertising to music selection. It’s a great task management system.
- PayPal: Send Money, Pay Online or Set Up a Merchant Account – I used a free account to create my invoice & contract as well as handle billing.
- Record Pools: Promo Only and BPM Supreme
- Event specific pages:
- Boos in the Bubble House Ninja landing page – my landing page, built with Elementor on WordPress.
- Boos in the Bubble Facebook event page – this generated a lot of visibility.
- Line Creek Brewing – the awesome local microbrewery that hired me.
- Watch my livestreams from 2020-2021. My DJ setup was very similar to my live performance setup, so these were key to keeping my skills sharp during the pandemic.
- Winterfest – my next performance, 7:30-9:30 pm at the Georgia World Congress Center on December 18!
