In episode nine of the Producer Life Podcast I review The War of Art, a book by international best selling author Steven Pressfield. The book has over 3,000 five-star reviews on Amazon and came highly recommended by several other producers I respect. Steven also wrote the Legend of Bagger Vance, Gates of Fire, Tides of War, and dozens of others.
In The War of Art, the author explores the forces that cause creatives to procrastinate, which he dubs “Resistance.” He also offers advice from his own life as a writer for overcoming that resistance which is equally relevant to producers, musicians, painters, or anyone taking on a creative endeavor.
